Thanks to my the amazing Elie Tahari, this coat is now in my arms. I am obsessed to say the least and so happy I can wear this thanks to the chilly weather. Ahh, dream coat.

I’ve had this skirt since I started thrifting, almost four years ago. In fact, this might be one of my first purchases. I’ve decided to show you all the ways to wear this skirt and styles like this.

My one tip when finding a skirt this flexible in re-wearing is find one with no elastic band or structured band. This skirt only has a button and zipper. The skirt has a fluid shape which helps in morphing it into whatever you want.

Who wants to hear a story?

This morning a friend of mine went into the men’s restroom to “drain the snake” (seriously the grossest expression I’ve heard) and came out to tell me something. As it turns out, the above quote was written on the wall in the bathroom. As some of you may know, I’ve been having an extremely hard time here in New York- this year even, in its’ 26 day glory, has been the roughest its’ been in a while. You know when ‘they’ try to sugarcoat this wonder world called New York City? Yes, well, unless you have have rich parents who know everyone and their mother, came from money, happen to know the right people or are just simply outstanding on your own, then you’re S.O.L. until you find your golden ticket. Let’s just say Charlie’s greedy ass stole mine and a couple others, little bastard. And with everything going on, all I want to do is drop it all and go back, open up a coffee shop and put on my Lululemon yoga pants. Yea, I said it. So what?

A few days ago, he told me that since nothing was going right in my career, I was looking for other things to fill the void- things I wouldn’t normally go after if my career was in place. Although I didn’t realize it, it was so true. I found myself talking about how I’m ready for a relationship, ready to start that journey again and albeit true, it’s not what I moved to New York for. I thought I moved here for a career. But what I’ve realized is, I moved here to discover who I am and what I CAN do.

Anyway, back to the bathroom. So he comes and tells me what was written in the bathroom was a sign. That in the worst place possible, the wisest of words was written. He told me this with great confidence- he wasn’t going to let me give up, even if he had to remind me everyday. Now, at first, I thought this kid was lying. So of course we took a stroll to the bathroom. Lo’ and behold, it was. It caught me off guard a bit to really see the truth in all this. I’m not a believer in signs… until now. So what becomes of this, you might ask? Well…

I’m not going to give up even if New York kicks my ass on a daily basis. I’m here to find out what I’m capable of and who I want to be. I’ll be turning 25 here- a big turning point. Who knows how long I’ll be here or what I’m here to do. What I do know is WHILE I’m here, I’m going to make the best of it and discover everything I can about the person I’ll be. My dreams are ever-evolving and that’s exciting. I use to think having a clear-cut idea of what you’d do for the rest of your life and how you’d do it was the proper and right way to achieve success. I’m now learning that part of the journey is making changes, growing from trials and turning failures into successes. I really couldn’t tell you if I’ll be working in the fashion industry in 5 years or even two. But I’m excited for what’s to come- whatever that may be.

And that’s when Christina stops being a gangsta.

Yo big pimpin, Snoop Dogg wants his pimp hat, fur collar and chains back.

I’ve been wanting to shoot this cape since I got it at the Hester Street Fair in October. Seriously waited for the right outfit and right time. HELLO TIME. The sleeves make this, like cinnamon to churros. On top of it all, I’m wearing my late grandmother’s fur stole which I love so much. It’s like a constant reminder of her every time I put it on. She was so cute- the neck hole was too tight so she had pins put at the ends to make it fit for her. LOVE THAT. Man, I miss her.

These photos are definitely a ‘Coming Out’ in New York City. The Empire State Building on the East River is just perfect. God, I love Lydia.

Fashion is back on the blog thanks to me winning the lottery.

Okay, obviously I’m kidding but I’ve finally been able to get together with the fabulous Lydia Hudgens and shoot in my hood which was freezing like my frigid* vagina.

I’ve been wanting to shoot at the Pepsi Cola sign but since the remodel, the area is still under construction so we couldn’t get too close. Just wait until summer, it’s amazing. Speaking of summer, yes, I’m ready for it already. The cold, the snow, ruining my shoes, falling down stairs and getting awesome bruises calculates to a full-monty of summer withdrawals. Who wants to go to Barbados with me?

Psst. I’m on Pinterest if you weren’t aware. It’s an addiction I can’t stop. 

Now, I’m not one for hauls so you’re probably wondering why the hell I did one?

Hell if I know. All I can say is I owed Eliot a few haul videos based on bets and well, this is kind of an ode to her. Hey girl hey.

Hectic lifestyle, where’s the slowdown?

These past two weeks have been one, huge hectic sack of a shit show. Radenroro is back in for the next season, merchandising is in overnights overload and I feel like I just want to slow down. Which is why, taking a quick break to grab food with great company eases the hefty loads of my weeks.

I promise to be back in the game once overnights are over and fashion week planning ceases. I owe you two videos since two weeks ago and don’t worry, they are in the process of shooting and editing. Can’t wait to bring you more videos! It’s probably one of my favorite things to share with you. Stay tuned- I wonder how many times I’ve said that you since I started this blog. Probably more than I should. Commitment problem much? AANNNYYWWAYYY…

I can’t believe it’s 2012 already- what the fuck am I doing with my life?

I stopped making resolutions back in 2009 when it stopped being cool correction, when it WAS cool, but I did make me some awesomely awesome goals. My future is stocked full of goals I may or may not conquer within 2012. I won’t share. Why? Cuz I’m selfish like that. BAMMM!

My new years was nothing special- definitely didn’t do the traditional NYE NY celebration. I avoided Times Square or any highly populated area at all costs. I, instead, ran the town with bottles of champagne, hot friends with dead foxes and mustard-colored dresses, sample below. I got entirely too wasted, went home far too early, ate me a hoagie and buffalo bleu chips and drunk dialed. Yup, I’d say awesome.

OH 2011, you’ve been quite the ride. Through a move, a new future and new adventures, you sure did aim to please. But enough of my banter, let’s show the readers what you gave me in TWENTY-ELEVEN.

We never want to be something that other people, mostly men, complain about. But the reality is, we have, at point in our relationships/dating lives, have acted this way.
