I feel like I’m refreshed, renewed, excited.

Officially, I’m not back quite yet.  I’ve still got some catching up with life to do and also really want to be 100% ready to take on the blog again. But I needed to come back for a quick moment to share with you something pretty rad. I’m sure you’ve seen on some of your other favorite blogs but in case you haven’t, Carrie Hammer has partnered with a few of her favorite bloggers to bring you her newspaper skirt. When she reached out to have me participate, I was so elated. I’ve always been fond of her line as it’s so perfectly fit for a woman’s body. This skirt is nothing short of that. I literally couldn’t believe how perfect it was. NOT. EVEN. JOKING. For those who don’t know who she is, please watch this video. It’s a great story behind her brand and she’s such a great, inspirational gal.

She started a kickstarter to help get her brilliant collection off the ground and the greatest part about it- we get to be a part of that. With the help of you, me and supportive others, we could really get Carrie’s handcrafted, carefully articulated line in the hands of much-needed fashionistas. I’m really proud and honored to be a part of this. I get the opportunity to support an amazing entrepreneur, a woman doing it all on her own. For more info on her Kickstarter, click here!

BUT GET THIS. Carrie is offering one of you fine readers a chance to WIN your own custom Carrie Hammer newspaper skirt! Here’s how to enter:

-Share the kickstarter link on your Facebook & Twitter, tagging both Carrie Hammer & Profresh Style in your post (http://kck.st/WFbHMg)
-Follow both @carriehammer and me @profreshstyle & let us know you’ve shared

And that’s it!

In other “important” news: I officially cut my hair since my best friends are in town but this was a ‘faux lob’. I had been obsessively loving and rocking since my best friend said I couldn’t take kitchen scissors to my hair. Anyhow, it’s a LOT shorter now but it will make its’ blog debut in the coming weeks, I’m sure. Have you seen it on Instagram? What do you think?

Thank you again Carrie for having me be a part of this! xx

Do you see that gorgeous woman above? No, not me. (Ha kidding). But that woman next to me is the lovely Sarah of Style On The Couch. This Brit has the classiest style I think I’ve ever encountered + her body is bangin’.

I met her last fashion week and became obsessed with her. Her classic style is twisted with bondage pieces, sexy lingerie-inspired looks and sex heels. Nothing is greater in my opinion. When Sarah asked me to partner with her to create a look for her blog, I was so excited. We agreed on a t-shirt theme and loved the outcome. Somehow, without seeing one another’s looks prior, we similarly coordinated. Sarah and I’s style are very different as I couldn’t pull off half the sexy things she dons yet somehow, we looked like we planned our wardrobe together. I think we’ve got that friend sense. We also have another thing in common- Lydia is both our photographer. You can see Lydia’s talent though as she shoots us both differently- that’s a true artist. Don’t you agree?

Check out Sarah’s post for more of our photos, serious and otherwise.
If you love lingerie, sexy and classic wardrobe, a bit into her physiological mind (she really is a Psychologist) and her adventures back in London, then you’ll fall in love with one of my favorite Brits.

I’m wearing: Brandy Melville cut-off tee (dig this one), vintage (FAVORITE!) skirt, Steve Madden boots, a scarf from club brunch, Sorelli spike bracelet, Vanessa Mooney Rhinestone Skull Necklace c/o, In God We Trust heart necklace in “Balls To The Wall”

Alright guys, let’s be totally honest with ourselves. Or rather, let me be honest with you. I’m not entirely proud of this look. In fact, I look back at this now and think… I clearly wasn’t thinking when I wore this out in public. I probably shouldn’t post this. But I realized something a while ago- sometimes [most the time] bloggers get caught up in this perfection bubble. We only post what’s “perfect” and I’m hear to tell you, rather, show you- THAT’S NOT TRUE.

When I first donned this outfit, I said to myself, “Hey you, girl, you’re lookin’ good. You’re the layering master anyhow. In fact, keep layering. Keep adding. Why don’t you wear more denim?” and then strutted myself to Lydia and posed, happily, outside this lovely park. But I’d like to point out my fails because this, ladies and gents, is a fail:

-Why would I choose to rock the Canadian tux? I suppose some people can pull it off- I, however, can not.
-Seriously- did I really just tuck my dress into my muffin top to create a tunic?
-And the gold chain sandals? Cute… but not for this. Seriously, just stop.
-Ohhh. Neon. Shocker. Take it off.
-Hey girl- each of these items are fly… have I not seen my own video, Profresh Guide To… Fashion Week. Those rules should apply for everyday life.

So, as you can see, this outfit is not great, it’s not even good. But I’m really proud to put this up right now because sometimes, we fail. And I’d like to think that bloggers are just… normal people. [soak up the sarcasm]

Hey Kmart, is this #fashionweekproblems enough? Cuz homegirl needs some help. PS. If you’re attending #NYFW, you’re going to want to watch this video. I used their concierge last season and they brought me flats and a redbull. Life complete.

Let’s just stop for a second. Let’s just stop, relax, breathe and PEEP THIS SKIRT.

I can’t handle it. If I were to ask for a skirt, made perfectly for me, with a bomb price point and a delicious scalloped hem, I would die. Well guess what munchkin babies, I’m a freaking ghost because here is my dream skirt! I haven’t shopped at Arden B in ages- the last time I stopped in a mall and shopped was in college… six years ago. Wait. WHAT. Ew.

[stop thinking about your age!]

Arden B killed it and I’m so happy to call on them. You obviously can’t beat the original price but this bad boy is on sale! I can’t. I’m going to stop. This. Just. UGHHH. Hey heaven, what’s up goorrlllll.

You know I couldn’t do this skirt regular. I had to jazz it up with polka dots and peplum collars. But you must not forget my boots- simple and minimal. Let those other loud kids do the talking. By the way, never go shopping intoxicated. You’ll buy boots a whole size smaller than what you actually are and you also won’t listen to your friends pleading with you to not buy them.

Besides all that nonsense, I haven’t dressed up lately. It’s solely because I work from home now so getting dressed up consists of putting on a baggy tee or tank [like this], shorts or “urban cool” sweats and it’s #YOLO. [Kill me, never let me use that again]. I would love to get more dressed up so who’s taking this single gal on a date? Anyone? No one? OK! Cupid it is.
