You know the saying, “Why buy the cow, if you can get the milk for free?”.  A friend told me a great corresponding quote to that the other day:

Why buy the entire pig for just a little sausage?

Ain’t that the truth? The guidelines on how to live your life can be argued by many; presuming religions, spiritual and psychological lifestyles. However, this quote should be prevalent everywhere. If there is one lesson I’ve learned, it’s to not give my “goodies away” when I could be charging. No, I’m kidding but seriously, the return on something as precious as your body and mind is priceless.

We women, can’t help but invest in the men we’ve slept with. Believe me, I’ve tried not too. It just left me cold-hearted and annoyed. But as common as they’ve come, we’ve all been in the situation where we felt it could possibly bring us closer or make him want to be with you. I promise, your sex isn’t going to make him stay-I don’t care how good you are in bed. He can get sex anywhere. There are plenty of “cows” out there, giving away their “meat”. God, that sounds so vulgar. Anyhow, if you really like a guy and you want to see where this is going, don’t sleep with him. It’s a rarity it will work out for the better. I can count on one finger how many times that worked for someone. Men will always love the chase and about 90% of the time, once the chase is no longer hard, he’s already over it.

I’ll be frank. I’ve had a fling here or there but I never took them seriously and the moment I started to trip, I snapped myself out of it and told myself to chill. I made the choice to involve myself in that sort of situation and the normal outcome is that nothing comes from it. So when I say believe me, I mean it. I’ve been there, it’s not the best road, or even ideal. Women are emotional creatures-it’s in our DNA. When we share something that private and sacred of ourselves, we’re giving someone something they probably don’t even deserve. Don’t you want to give it to someone who deserves it?
